Richard Hammond, a radio and television presenter is nicknamed as Hamster. Hammond was born in Solihull on 19 December 1969. He attended Harrogate College of Art and Technology and also has a degree in BTEC National Diploma in Visual Communications.

He started his career by working with many radio stations. His television debut came with his hosting “Crufts” a dog show. He had also made appearances in shows like “School’s Out”, “The Gunpowder Plot: Exploding The Legend”. He became famous with
“Top Gear”and co-hosting the live annual motoring show, MPH, in Earls Court.

Hammond is married to Amanda Etheridge, also known as Mindy. He has two daughters with her. The family lives in Gloucestershire and also has a flat in London. Hammond loves to play guitar and has a huge passion for cars and bikes. He currently owns a Porsche 911, a Dodge Charger, two Land Rovers, a Suzuki GSXR1000, a BMW 1150 GS, a Harley Davidson, a Ducati 1098, just to mention a few.
